I said "YES!!!"


it's official, we're engaged!
it happened friday while we were camping in north carolina. we woke up to an amazing view of the blue ridge mountains. reid started talking about how happy he was that we decided to make this trip, about how we've made it so far in the past four years. then he said, "i have something i want to give you," and got down on down on one knee! he told me he loved me very much and asked if i would marry him...

i said "yes! yes!! yes!!! i thought you would never ask!"
it was perfect.

working for the weekend

this weekend a friend will be in town visiting reid.
i am traveling on saturday to south pittsburgh's "tidiest town in tn" (and home of the national cornbread festival) community wide yard sale with my mom and aunt lynne.

big orange is playing auburn also on saturday. go vols!
a quick trip out to the lake house and birthday-ing my dad is also on the list.

busy weekend here i come!

this was my umm maybe 7th year to go to knoxville's labor day fireworks show.
its the largest labor day fireworks show in the south.

lately...

flowers from work (on year on may 12th!)
reid studied hard for finals
i made a successful angle food cake for the first time
served it up with strawberries & whipped cream
...reid ate half the cake between friday and sunday

Rain showers bring May flowers

Happy May Day!
Murphy & I are going to visit my family at the lake.
We are going to miss Reid terribly while he stays behind to study.
