we had a great time at the tn valley fair last month

and yes. those powdered sugar covered, deep fried, gooey fattening things are

Sunflowers

i just finished reading this book by Debra Mancoff.
i've always loved sunflowers and it was really interesting to learn the history of the gigantic disc florets.
i never really notcied all the sunflowers in the 15th-16th century paintings i studied in art history class.

i definitely recommend it for a better than just for the coffee table book!
